So I found out yesterday my friend Christine's additional tests have led to the conclusion she will probably need a new liver. Big sigh. This is going to be a rough ride.
On a brighter note, while my dad was not happy taking all these tests, he did get a pain med for his toes that helped without making him sick to his stomach. I'd brought dinner over last night (mom wanted pizza) and they let me know dad has three more appts to go.
I'm taking a half day off to see The Matrix: Reloaded. While I don't go out of my way to see movies with Keanu Reeves in them, The Matrix was made by the same folks who did Bound (Jennifer Tilly, Gina Gershon) which I loved, so I went. While I thought the "questioning reality" aspect was not new or clever by science fiction literature standards, it wasn't a stupid movie and looked great. I'm hoping the new one isn't just another empty-headed action flick with good effects.
