(no subject)

After taxes were completed on a friend's computer, then my powerbook came back w/a new hard drive (yay AppleCare warranty), and a few work tasks were completed, I'm feeling less stressed. I'm still getting my powerbook back to where it was, but am taking my time moving files, etc. since the tech support folks mentioned the possibility the data I did manage to retrieve might be corrupted.

And I'm posting this while on my usual commuter bus -- Wi-Fi was installed and actually works!
