Wining (and a little whining)

I found this article about wine acidity interesting. Guess it's not all about tartness and tanginess. I like the comparison of Pepsi and orange juice.
Saturday, went to the quarterly open house of Rosenblum Cellars. Sampled over twenty wines, almost all reds, over a four-hour period of time. Plenty of munchies, like breads, cheese, barbequed ribs and chicken pieces on skewers, (not wine) grapes and zinfandel ice cream. Favorites of the day: 2004 Richard Sauret Vineyards Zinfandel, 2004 Monte Rosso Vineyard Zinfandel, and 2002 Holbrook Mitchell Trio (a meritage blend of merlot, cab sauv, and cab franc).
And here's the bitty bit of non-winning whining. Played table games (3-card poker and blackjack) and slot machines when I went with
debmats to the casino, Thunder Valley, this past Sunday. Otherwise, a pleasant day trip.
