We love ice cream! |
Was going through a box of photographs for this year's dad post. I've never been interested enough over the years to do more than take pictures on occasion, get the film developed, take a look, then put them somewhere. Rarely organize them in an album. Almost never dated or tracked them. I'd gone through fifteen or so packets of pics when I got to the source of the above, where I scanned and cropped.
We were in the city of Calistoga that day. It was dad, mom, sis & me. I'm fairly certain my grandmother was alive at the time; don't remember why she wasn't with us. It was a warm day. Ice cream cones all around.
Maybe I'll post the full pic someday. Like after I've organized all my snapshots. :)
I love you and miss you, Dad.

Date: 2007-02-02 04:40 pm (UTC)Ice cream by itself makes me smile. While I don't have strong recollections of the day, this pic is a very nice reminder.

Date: 2007-02-02 04:58 pm (UTC)Gee! You'd think I'd remember something as titallating sounding at that eh? (grin)
I do remember Arizona and Larry and Jay. I was in touch with Larry sometime in the last couple years but haven't tried again recently. I keep thinking of him because of the reading/work I'm doing on Arts Education.
Ah. Right. I credit you with a large part of Ed's braveness about food. He still tells people sometimes about all the kinds of food you introduced him to. :-)
I don't think I have copies of any of them (can't swear about Larry/Jay because I think in some box somewhere I have some of those - but whether they are ones I took or ones you took is a mystery. :-)

Date: 2007-02-03 01:41 pm (UTC)You do realize that you sound quite like either an old Hepburn movie or perhaps a Wodehouse novel right? Playful shenanigans. Heh.
yes yes... ah... youth! (grin)
